Finished Catching Fire

I have finally finished it! It was amazing. The whole book had me on the edge of my seat! The ending left me wanting more! I cannot wait to read Mockingjay, which I am starting this evening. It was so good I cannot even put into words my thoughts and feelings on the book.

Catching Fire

What can I say. About half way through I am in shock! I kind of had a feeling this would happen.. but still kind of shocked. I feel as if I am there, beside Katniss, watching as she realizes what's unfolding in front of her. The horrified look in her eyes as it sinks in. With my heart pounding and the butterflies in my stomach, I cannot help my eyes from glossing over. Luckily I was distracted by one of my children so the glossiness in my eyes did not turn into full blown tears. Well, back to the book!

My thoughts on The Hunger Games.

Started reading 3/22/2012 and ended on 3/25/2012

So, I just read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Book 1 of a trilogy. I couldn't seem to put it down. Though it's 374 pages, it took me 4 days to read. I think that's pretty good considering I have 2 kids and hardly get a moment to do anything for myself.

Rue and Katniss's relationship captured my heart and was one of the many moments I found myself tearing up in the book. I cannot wait to read Catching Fire and see how everything pans out with Gale and Peeta.

The beginning of the book had me hooked when it talked about her life in District 12. It makes me think of how our world might be for our grandchildren or great grandchildren.

The ending was left open to make me anxious to read the next book.

This I think was a great book to start my reading in life. This is the FIRST book I have ever read front to back. (Even in school.) I am so very proud of myself and look forward to many more adventures in reading.

I think the first book on our agenda will be The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

Reading The Hunger games! Almost done. Then going to read Catching Fire.
